On Saturday, January 25th, our club members had a fantastic and informative day exploring the WEEE Park and EcoPark in Tuen Mun! â™»
At the WEEE Park, we were fascinated by the interactive exhibits, including the exhibition gallery, unloading area, and processing plant. We learned about the crucial role of responsible e-waste disposal in protecting our environment and human health, and even got a behind-the-scenes look at the recycling process. We discovered the importance of “turning waste into resources.” 📺
Next, we visited the EcoPark, Hong Kong’s first large-scale resource education center dedicated to waste management! We explored the different zones, including the Waste Corridor, a 3D landfill model and 3Rs area. Through multimedia presentations, games, and films, we learned about the importance of environmental protection, increasing awareness of solid waste management, and the core concepts of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle”.
The visit attracted 11 members joined the visit to learn more on the eco awareness and actions everyone should take to protect the earth in long term.
