TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION FOR HOMELESSLast year, in cooperation with SoCO, we commenced helping beneficiaries forced on streets due to unemployment induced by COVID-19. This year, we continued serving homeless people but expand our scope to ensure helping more beneficiaries. After due diligence by our PDG CP Dr. Eric CHIN and IPP Colin CHAU, to assist more homeless off the streets, we are delighted onboarding Neighborhood Advice-Action Council (“NAAC”) to cooperate. In critical times of pandemic, street sleepers with valour who helplessly resorted to street sleep are more vulnerable to COVID-19 infections and then potentially spreading to more people while they work on day time. To address this issue, we hope expanding our services with NAAC may help more people and do our part to help fight against spreading COVID-19. Together with ROTARY CLUB OF BRAEMAR HILL, ROTARY CLUB OF HK NORTH POINT are committed to investigate and expand the scope in hopes of helping more street sleepers. Special thanks to CHINACHEM GROUP being the kind-donor for us to help more people this year; our IPP Colin recalled days of SARS with their late chairlady, Ms. Nina WANG, and believe she would also aid this service program like the current leaders in CHINACHEM GROUP who supported our TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION FOR HOMELESS service.
