On 16th January 2023, our PDG CP Eric Chin led our 4 club members including Rtn. Samantha Lin, Samantha Pei, Winnie Chan and Winnie Leung visited Rotary Club of Discovery Bay and were welcomed by P Jean-Roch Martin and his members. RC Discovery Bay is chartered by CP Christian Chasset in 2016-17. Club members are mainly French and English speaking members.
One of the highlights is that we had the pleasure to witness their new member induction Jonathan by PDG CP Eric Chin who is the District Membership Committee Chair and referred him to join RC DB and AG Bonnie Wong.
We also had Mr. Jordan Hattar, founder of the NGO – Help4Refugees (www.help4refugees.org) as speaker of the night to share with us his work and services in working for a UN refugee camp in Jordan.
It’s been an interesting and eye opening experience to know more about different clubs’ culture. Rotary is full of diversity yet we all share one goal to serve the community.
Thank you PDG CP Eric for arranging club visit program for members as it is one of the educational programs of RCHKNP to enrich members’ understanding on Rotary club operation as a leadership training for future club leaders.
