Rotary Club of Hong Kong North Point (“RCHKNP”) launched the first bespoke Mentorship Program, nurturing Rotaractors as future leaders; 10 Mentors, Rotarians from RCHKNP, and 13 Mentees, Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of Hong Kong North Point (“RACHKNP”), had committed to this service.
A virtual kickoff meeting was held on 23 Feb 2023 to gather a group of Mentors and Mentees.
As PDG CP Eric Chin shared in his opening remarks “our mission is to pass knowledge and experience to youths, widening their horizons.” P Peter Pang also commented “that Mentors with different valuable skills and expertise will definitely help to support development and growth of Rotaractors as Mentees.”
Rotaract Club Advisor, Samantha Pei, facilitated an interactive ice breaking activity in this virtual gathering which enabled Mentors and Mentees to develop rapport in a creative way.
We had a fruitful and engaging time together despite different time zones as some participants are working or studying in different countries around the world.
Interactions between Mentors and Mentees in this Program will include but not limited to face to face and/ or virtual meetings, visits to office of Mentors, vocational visits, or other forms whatever are feasible.
We highly appreciate everyone’s time, support and commitment for making this Mentorship Program happen.
Special thanks to following Rotarians offering their time and effort to share their career, Rotary and other life experiences as Mentors: PDG CP Eric Chin, P Peter Pang, PP Elsa Wong, PP Colin Chau, IPP Carlos Tam, Rtn. Johnson Lam, Rtn. Winnie Leung, Rtn. Yvonne Leung, Rtn. Samantha Pei and Rtn. Jennifer Tan.
Hope everyone will enjoy this mentorship journey and achieve further growth together!
