It was a meaningful evening night to join the regular meeting of Rotary Club of Star Avenue. Our PDG CP Eric Chin led our club members including Rtn. Samantha Pei, Rtn. Samantha Lin and Rtn. Winnie Leung to the visit, with the warm welcome from the President of Rotary Club of Star Avenue, P Adrian Lau and the Club members. Furthermore, our PDG CP Eric was invited by the Club as the additional Club Advisor. It is indeed a good opportunity for us to observe and learn the leadership and operations in different clubs, of which Rotary Club of Star Avenue has been grown with significant number of members since chartered. District Membership Committee Chair PDG CP Eric witnessed and congratulated the Club for inducting two new members by CP Jimmy Lau and P Adrian Lau.
The night with Ms. Elaine Wu and Mr. So Wa Wai as the guest speakers sharing the accomplishments on “Para sports development in Hong Kong”. We are all inspired by the motivational personal experience of Mr. So Wa Wai with his passion and tremendous determination achievement in athletics. Nonetheless, we had the chance to understand more about the development and challenges faced by HK Paralympic Committee.
The speakers are good role models for us to learn from, by having their persistency and positive attitude to serve the community. Thanks to PDG CP Eric for giving this opportunity to the members joining the club visit program, it is an essential experience to groom the future club leaders.
