After nearly three years of Covid-19 pandemic, Hong Kong is starting to be energetic again with the gradual recovery of both economic and social activities. As one of the international hubs, it is our top priority to attract investors and also tourists back to Hong Kong.
On 11 May, it was such a great day as we invited Dr. Y. K. Pang, Chairman of Hong Kong Tourism Board, to be our distinguished speaker and shared his insights about the latest tourism strategies. With the topic of “Striding Forward in a Steady Recovery”, Dr. Pang showed us the importance of tourism towards Hong Kong economy and how we can help to promote the edges of Hong Kong to our international friends. We strongly believe both the “Hello Hong Kong” and the “Biggest Welcome” campaigns can be the very successful facilitators for attracting the tourists to let Hong Kong shine again.
Besides, each of the participating Rotary Club Presidents presented the latest updates of respective clubs in a very efficient way. After that, Ms. Emily Ho, district director of Toastmasters Hong Kong, led several club leaders to introduce their uniqueness and key activities. It is no doubt very beneficial to both Rotary and Toastmasters members to learn from each other. We are excited to see more concrete co-operations very soon.
