With the Mid-Autumn Festival just around the corner, we delivered the mooncakes 🥮 sponsored by our club members and spent a fruitful afternoon with the students at Buddhist To Chi Fat She Yeung Yan Lam Memorial School (道慈佛社楊日霖紀念學校), a school for children with special needs. Our Club members including PDG CP Eric Chin, DEI Chair PP Peter Pang, Service Project Chair Kenneth Chan, DEI Chair Maggie Ching, Rtn. Samatha Pei and Annie Loh.
Before the event, we had a yummy fellowship lunch in Peng Shan hosted by PDG CP Eric.

With the lead by Rotarian Kenneth Cheng, the Principal, and his teaching team, we engaged in Mid-Autumn Festival theme activities with the students, including lanterns making, bingo, and blind tasting games.
We were reminded of the importance of considering individual students’ diverse needs and backgrounds; we should provide tailored support to their unique needs during the activities, and foster an inclusive and supportive environment while having a good time.
It marked the success of our first DEI service event of this year. We were inspired by how DEI is put into practice in Hong Kong educational institution and we look forward to more collaborative projects to support students with special needs in the local community.
Our day ended with lots of fun and laughter!
Happy Mid-Autumn everyone 🌕
