Their commitments were praiseworthy.

The whole workshop was facilitated by PDG CP Eric Chin, who led a team of learning facilitators including IAG Eliza Fan, IDAG CP Bee Chan, IDAG CP Christian Chasset, and CP Alvin Lam. The primary objectives were to equip future club leaders, particularly President Elects, with the necessary knowledge and preparation at the club level, share practical club administration best practices, and provide a platform for clubs in the new Area 13 to learn practical works, network, and move forward together.
The workshop was designed to be highly interactive, with a focus on discussion and sharing. It was conducted in a facilitating mode rather than a lecture mode, with minimal use of PowerPoint presentations. Participants were encouraged to take their own notes for future reference.
The program began with a registration and networking session. This was followed by a session facilitated by PDG CP Eric Chin on the roles and duties of a Club President and other key Club officers, including the Secretary, Treasurer, Public Image, Rotary Foundation, and Service Projects.
CP Alvin Lam then facilitated a hands-on guided training session on various Rotary platforms including ‘My Rotary’, Rotary Club Central, Rotary Learning Center, and Brand Center.
After a lunch break, District Governor Nominee CP Jimmy Lau shared his experience in his Rotary journey. PDG CP Eric Chin then facilitated a session on how to conduct Club meetings, covering aspects such as effective preparation, smart execution, fluent presentations, toasting protocol, and seating and photo seating protocol, etc.
Afterwards, IAG Eliza Fan updated the Area 13 Strategy, discussing key issues and areas that need to be known, planned, and prepared before 30 June. This was followed by a CP Panel Sharing session. The final session of the day, led by IAG Eliza Fan, focused on how to effectively communicate with essential Rotary systems and networks, and amongst Clubs in A13 and beyond.
The workshop concluded with a wrap-up and participant feedback session, providing an opportunity for participants to reflect on their learning and share their experiences. It also demonstrated the commitment of the Rotary Club to fostering leadership and collaboration among its members.
Following the leadership training, RAC organized an additional workshop focused on handmade coffee. This session was led by Wilson Mak, a young and enthusiastic amateur barista. The participants had the opportunity to gain insights into the detailed process of coffee production and relish a variety of handmade coffee brews. The workshop was not only informative but also an enjoyable experience for all attendees.
