We were pleased to have Ir Jimmy Li, Director of Arup and Chair of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers – BS Division, as our guest speaker. His talk, “Engineering Contributions to Sustainable Development in Hong Kong,” provided an introduction to the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the role of engineers in society, particularly in contributing to environmental sustainability. His speech was impressive and prompted numerous questions during the Q&A session. RTN Eddie Chan delivered a vote of thanks to Jimmy for his informative and inspiring presentation.

Additionally, we welcomed an overseas visitor, President Stephenia Lima from the Rotary Club of Catatumbo in District 4380, who introduced her club and the service projects they provide in their district. Our Rotarian, Ron Leung, presented his proposal for the Youth Band Sound competition and thanked the club for sponsoring the prizes for this event. Another highlight was a speech by PDG CP Eric Chin on Rotary A~B~C, introducing the Zone Institute and the 2024 Taipei Rotary Institute program.

The meeting was adjourned at about 9:35pm after toasting. Many of our members and guests still stayed behind for fellowship and networking.
