The Rotary Club of Hong Kong North Point actively engages in the “People of Action” initiative by organizing and participating various meaningful and impactful service projects for the underprivileged beneficiaries in the community.
Barrier Busters 2024 is an annual event promoting barrier-free awareness and inclusion, raising funds for the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation. Through participating the “Barrier-free Explorer” City-orienteering Challenge, it helps to raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals who require wheelchairs in Hong Kong.
Neighbourhood with You, Listen Goal! supports the mental health of 80 underprivileged parent-child pairs, total 160 people, in Tung Chung through a series of workshops and wellness activities. In particular, the “Hold Your Hands” Parent-child Activities aim to strengthen family bonds, crucial for managing stress and overcoming difficulties, promoting mental health awareness, youth development, and community collaboration.
Festive Food Delivery involved packing and distributing 100 food bags with mooncakes and pomelo during the Mid-Autumn Festival to elderly and families in Lok Wah Estate. Despite the humid weather, both club members and Interactors learned to communicate with the elderly and gained insights into poverty situation.
