Message from Charter President PDG Dr. Eric CHIN

I chartered the Rotary Club of Hong Kong North Point because I would like to capitalise on my 13 years experience in Rotary , and set out with a diversity of talent comprising professional, business and organisation leaders and youth executives.

The idea was to co-create and shape the club from the start — forming its culture, establishing its unique traditions, setting its service priorities, and making it our own.

As a Past District Governor in 2016-17, I fully understand the importance of membership development. Thus, I took the action to charter a new Rotary Club to align with Rotary International’s  Vision : “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”

My dream is to increase the diversity of the club with various nationalities and cultures, invite more female members, and provide more opportunity to those female Rotarians taking up the helm in club. We also want to nurture our young generation by sharing our members’ vocational experiences to become community leaders in serving humanity.  With flexibility in our club meetings format to attract more talented members.

We would like to build up a solid ecosystem where we shall explore a rewarding club life for our members, and pursue new project possibilities in our district and oversea districts.

We are living in the internet technology era where speed is the key to success,. We shall move fast in membership growth and focus in membership retention in the same time.

We shall sponsor a Rotary Club and Interact Club in our first year of charter. Our goal is to become a high quality platform to meet more leaders in the area, interact, and connect each other so we can open up to hearing fresh ideas.

To engage with our community differently and make a high impact in the lives of others will be our commitment.

We shall also Connect with leaders around the world by building up sister clubs with international service projects. Certainly, It is a highly dynamic and vibrant club!
