Dear Fellow Members,
It’s amazing how swiftly time has flown by. As I approach the end of my one-year term as President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong North Point, I reflect on the incredible journey we have shared. At 00:00 on 1 July 2025, I will officially step down and transition to the role of Immediate Past President.
I would like to once again extend my heartfelt gratitude to PDG CP Eric Chin, PP Peter Pang, and PP Carlos Tam for their unwavering support and invaluable advice, which have been instrumental in enabling me to fulfil my responsibilities as President effectively.
Throughout this term, I have experienced numerous unforgettable Rotary moments. Our large-scale signature projects, such as the “Rooke Stars Street Dance Education and Contest,” provided a platform for young talents to shine. The “Neighbourhood with You, Listen Goal!” service project supported underprivileged families in addressing mental health-related issues. The “Capstone Consultancy Program” coached university students on vocational service training, while the “Youth Leadership Program” trained interactors and students at CCC KWS in public speaking skills through collaboration with the Island Toastmaster Club.
Additionally, our fellowship events, including regular fellowship dinners where club members presented their expertise or areas of interest, and PPE events, which provided our members with an in-depth understanding of environmental developments, were highly enriching.
In terms of public image, we successfully launched our club account on Red Note to promote the club activities. This platform has helped attract potential members to join our club meetings.
I am also pleased to announce that Rotary International District 3450 has approved the establishment of the Junioract Club at Li Sing Tai Hang School for this Rotary year. Our club is proud to sponsor the Rotaract Club, Interact Club, and Junioract Club, encompassing various youth segments. These clubs will support our service goals related to youth development projects.
At the beginning of the Rotary year, I introduced the slogan, “Together, let’s create Magical, Meaningful, and Memorable Rotary moments!” I sincerely hope that most club members have experienced this message through all of our organized events.
It is truly my great honor to receive the Gold Distinction Award this Rotary term. This award belongs to our club, all the committees, and club members for their active engagement and participation. I am confident that our incoming President, Kenneth Chan, will continue this momentum, ensuring sustainable development of the club and achieving new heights.
Again, thank you all the committees and most club members for your dedication and support. Together, we have made a significant impact, and I look forward to seeing our club continue to thrive.

Peter LONG
