RCHKNP x Island Toastmasters Joint Club Meeting 10/5/2023

We’re so excited to finally have the much-anticipated RCHKNP x Island Toastmasters joint club meeting successfully held on 10/5/2023! 👍🏼
The theme of our meeting was – Imagine Synergy.

Firstly we had RCHKNP President Peter Pang and Island Toastmasters Club Immediate Past President John Poon to deliver the opening speeches. Both of the clubs are so excited to have more collaborations and synergies in terms of improving presentation skills, services engagement and leadership trainings to members.
We had a few representatives from RCHKNP to participate in different sharing roles. P Peter and Rtn. Samantha Lin shared their prepared speeches on their own topics. Rtn. Peter Long and Rtn. Anne Loh were the Table Topics Master (TTM) and Ah Counter of the night. Members had hands on experience in delivering speeches and providing constructive comments to the presenters publicly. The immediate feedbacks from the commenters have provided practical insights on future improvements in public speaking. 🗣️
The meeting rundown is smoothly planned under the synergies among different parties. Let’s give a big congratulations to our Rtn. Samantha Lin that she was elected to be the Best Speaker 🏆of the night with her prepared speech – ‘Who am I?’ 🎤🤔
The meeting was concluded by the closing remarks made by our PGD CP Eric Chin and IPP John Poon from Island Toastmasters. Everyone has agreed that this is a valuable learning experience for both clubs to learn from each other’s meeting management, cultures and values. We look forward to seeing more synergies and collaboration between two clubs. We believe that more positive impacts will be created by Rotary x Toastmasters Clubs in the future.
