Emergency Medical Supplies and Equipment to IFFR Ukraine Squadron

More than ten thousands of refugees fleeing Russia’s invasion of the Poland-Ukraine border need aid and medical care. This is only one from most of them. District 2232 (Ukraine and Belarus) formed a committee to help people affected by the crisis. It has launched an appeal to Rotary members worldwide for funds to provide basic necessities.Rotary Club of Hong Kong North Point took the lead in organising with IFFR HK, IFFR Ukraine and RC Krakow, Poland and RC Lviv International.PE Hazel Ip from Rotary Club of Braemar Hill provided support in sourcing the medical supplies and equipment meeting EU standard to hospitals in Ukraine per request from District 2232. Inspired by IFFR World President Elect George Ritchie inviting IFFR HK Squadron members, we raised US$12,000 in 3 days and shipped out the supplies in 2 weeks to Poland by UPS and then to Ukraine. With the Joint efforts of Rotarians leaders in RC Krakow, Poland and RC Lviv International – IFFR Ukraine, Medical Supplies and Equipment are on the way from Poland to Ukraine to help the wounded citizens in Ukraine. The city of Lviv has had an influx of people displaced from other cities around Ukraine. The Rotary Club of Lviv International, working with local authorities and major hospitals, created an online spreadsheet of relief items that can be accessed by people who want to help. Members arrange for the donated items to be delivered to hospitals and coordinate storage with local warehouses.Together We Save Lives!
