Rotaract Leadership Training 2020

On 29th August, Rotary Club & Rotaract Club of HK North Point jointly conducted a Rotaract Charter Members and Board members Leadership Training Program in full day where 25 participants were present during the peak, via Zoom. Many thanks to PDG CP Dr. Eric CHIN and RTN. Dr. Eric TAM for being the Person-In-Charge of this program. After Welcoming Remarks from P Colin and icebreaking session, we were honored to be coached by RAC CP Jason LO and RTN. Dr. Ben CAPELL on “Rotaract Organization” and “Collaboration in a Diverse Community”, respectively. Also, P Colin, RTN Carol FONG and RTN Alex AU shared their development story and how RAC motivated them to excel in their career and prompted them to be a Rotarians. Before the morning session ended, the floor was opened for questions from Rotaractors.

In the afternoon, after being coached by PDG CP Dr. Eric CHIN, PP Peter PANG, IPP Elsa WONG and RTN. Dr. Eric TAM on topics involving visions, strategic plan , expectations, management and implementations, there was 4 breakout rooms session to formulate plan on RAC Year Plan in Club Services , Community Services , Professional Development , Youth Services 2020/21. We were honored to have District Youth Committee Chair PDG Eugene FONG joining this interactive session. Breakout group was arranged to further engage RAC in planning for their year ahead before Word of encouragement by PDG Eugene and P Colin’s Closing remarks.

8 Trainers spent an aggregate of 20 hours on preparation before the Leadership Training Program. At least 120 man-hours involving 25 participants occurred during the Leadership Training day. In total, at least 145 man-hours were committed to this vocational service to get our RAC prepared in servicing the community. It was a fruitful Saturday!
